Forbidden Lady

In shadows of sacrifice, her heart bore the scars,
Destiny’s man found, yet family wars mar.
Dagger-eyed daughter, with loathing so deep,
Left her in loneliness, nights full of weep.

At a grand party, stars of the elite,
She shone in her elegance, stunning and sweet.
Forbidden from power’s grandest table,
Yet still, the night's star, radiant and able.

Through heaven and hell,
her grace did transcend,
An unbroken spirit, on which all did depend.
